Killdeer

Killdeers are a familiar shorebird found across much of north america. They’re especially recognizable from their two dark chest bands and long legs.my favorite thing about them is their loud, distinctive “kill-deer” call! they’re such a fun bird to spot because they can be hiding in places you’d never expect
